Leather That Gets Better With Time

Every Ahalli piece is made from full-grain vegetable-tanned leather — the highest grade of leather available. Unlike bonded or PU leather, full-grain leather retains the natural surface of the hide, complete with its unique markings and texture. It is strong, breathable, and develops a rich patina over years of use, becoming more beautiful the longer you carry it.

The Craft

Each piece is hand-stitched in our workshop in Bangalore by skilled artisans who have spent years mastering their craft. We use traditional techniques — saddle stitching, edge burnishing, and hand-finishing — that result in goods built to last decades, not seasons.

Our Mission

Ahalli was founded with a purpose beyond craft. Our workshop employs underprivileged and differently-abled artisans, giving them dignified livelihoods through their skill. When you carry an Ahalli piece, you carry their story.

Caring for Your Leather

Keep it dry. If your leather gets wet, pat it dry gently with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry naturally. Avoid direct heat.

Condition regularly. Apply a small amount of leather conditioner every 3–6 months to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. Beeswax-based conditioners work best for vegetable-tanned leather.

Store with care. When not in use, store your Ahalli piece in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use the dust bag provided to protect the surface.

Embrace the patina. Scratches and marks on full-grain leather are not flaws — they are part of the leather's character. Over time, they blend into a rich, warm patina that is uniquely yours.
